The purpose of this handy Guide is to facilitate the use of the Liturgy of the Hours by providing clear accurate references for each day of the period specified — always in accord with the principles set forth in the General Instruction on the Liturgy of the Hours.

Included with the Liturgy of the Hours is a card with an outline of the Hours and a Format of the Office. Until you become familiar with the present Divine Office, it might be necessary for you to refer to that card in conjunction with the references given in this Guide.
